About Don & AaronBack in the 80s Don and Aaron were both novice growers who were looking to grow something better than the generic herb that was on offer. The Californian natives, who spent their formative years cultivating herbal growing skills in their hometown of 'Hollyweed', moved to Amsterdam to launch DNA Genetics. Now one of the most celebrated growers to show at the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, we here at DNA Genetics pride ourselves on growing strains that consistently win top prizes for our green-fingered efforts. The Mecca of worldwide smoking culture, Amsterdam is now our home and has provided us with a base from which we can grow herbal strains that are second to none. How it StartedA misspent youth growing up with cannabis that was dull, tasteless and in pretty 'schwag' made us determined to grow weed that used high end genetics to produce superior smells and tastes - not just a high. Our paths crossed in the early 90s and we instantly bonded over a mutual love of the herb and the lack of decent grade available us. After collecting seeds, testing out breeding environments and sampling the results, we decided we would be better off away from the USA. Despite California enjoying fairly liberal drug laws there was still the worry that we might be targeted by federal officers. We just didn't feel safe. The Move to 'Dam'The decision to move to Europe was obvious - Amsterdam is known to have an amenable policy on drug use, permitting the cultivation of cannabis - so we made it our permanent home in 2003. Two years later our first seed batch was ready for commercial sale. This mix, titled the "Who's Your Daddy" mix, resulted in much positive feedback, encouraging DNA to extend our breeding work for bigger and greener times! Still kicking back in the Dam, with the ever changing laws and restrictions, we strive to deliver to you the highest quality herbal seeds as well as quality clothing and smoking accessories.
